Program Highlights

  1. Focus on critical thinking skills intertwined with true Muslim character. The curriculum and instruction is interactive, stimulating, and thought provoking while maintaining a true dedication to moral character.
  2. Our core instructors are trained classically while also holding Ph.Ds. All are full-time teachers and researchers but integrally part of the community.
  3. Low student/teacher ratio - 50 students max. Oftentimes, the scholars reside with students, are readily available, eat meals with students, and interact with them outside of class.
  4. Organized and Intensive Curriculum - Instructors have distinct objectives for each course and they follow these objectives.
  5. Students have the opportunity to contribute to the scholars' research and work. Past ALIM students have been credited in books by ALIM scholars. Scholars will oftentimes bring unfinished manuscripts to class and teach from them.
  6. Many opportunities for collective Ibadah (Tahajjud/Qiyam, Fasting, Tajweed, Qur'an and Contemplation, Small Dicussions).
  7. Students may ask ANY question. Cutting edge issues are always discussed.
  8. Students will be able to partake in additional activities ranging from tours of the diverse communities of the Metro Detroit Area, shopping in Muslim populated Dearborn, visiting Downtown Detroit, enjoying BBQ's at different parks, visiting musems, and volunteering at Islamic Schools.
  9. Students attend from all over the nation and world (Turkey, Poland, Holland, UK, etc.) and they represent all levels of education (Undergrad, Graduate, Professional). This allows students to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood/sisterhood and networking with Muslims from across the world.
  10. Students will visit different Masjids in the Detroit area for Jumu'ah.
  11. We provide excellent food and clean accommodations.
  12. Available recreational facilities (Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer Fields, Training Room, Recreational Room)
  13. Professional.
